Wilderness
It is said that a 20 minute walk can replace an hour session of therapy. In this non-stop, in-your-face world with millions of bytes of information being hurled at us every waking moment, to connect with the earth and its natural rhythms is not just healthy but vital for our survival.
Take a walk, stand still, close your eyes, listen. Shut out the visual for a few minutes and listen to your senses. We depend on sight for so much of our input that our other faculties get neglected. We need to tune into what's going on around us. It might even help you in some back alley sometime. We have all the instincts of the animal kingdom but we have forgotten. Let the natural world assault your senses and find yourself cleansed.
